Examples: Area, volume, pressure, force, etc.
Systems of Units
- F.P.S System: The British system in which the basic units of length, mass and time are foot, pound and second respectively.
- C.G.S System: The metric system in which the basic units of length, mass and time are centimeter, gram and second respectively.
- M.K.S System: Another metric system in which the basic units of length, mass and time are metre, kilogram and second respectively.
- S.I Units: Referred to as the International System of Units. It is a metric system and the basic units, their names and symbols are standardized.
